The lack of preventative maintenance to electricity poles and wires have wide ranging impacts on consumers, the community and electrical workers.

If you have experienced the impacts directly, please feel free to share your story with the campaign. Some of the ways people have been impacted include:

  • Bushfires caused by faulty electrical assets
  • Broken poles and wires due to weather events such as storms or cyclones
  • Poorly maintained poles or wires doing damage to homes
  • Long periods without power after a weather event for homes and businesses
  • Economic loss for businesses who have been left without power for days or weeks
  • Unsafe working conditions for electrical workers
